Flowers: full rounded trusses of about 10 carmine buds open to pale purplish pink flowers with
darker edges and a few olive spots.
May.
Elliptic/oval leaves broader than but similar to yakushimanum, with thick indumentum.
Recognise by: the flowers; the very hairy foliage, and the compact growth habit.
One of the most free flowering 'yak' hybrids.
Tolerant of poor conditions, and good in sun or shade.
